Asplenium trichomanes L., commonly known as maidenhair spleenwort, is a perennial small fern of the Aspleniaceae family. This plant grows in tufts from a short rhizome and has dark-green, compound, lanceolate and simply divided leaves. It bears long and linear sori containing the spores and covering all the undersurface of the leaves.
